Homemade Instant Oatmeal Packets (10 months + Toddlers)
We all see them in the stores but they cost a lot for something you can easily and quickly make at home for pennies. Here’s how:
- quick cooking oats
NOTE: You’ll also need a supply of zipper bags to store them in.
1. Begin by putting about 1 cup of quick cooking oats in the blender and processing until it becomes a powder.
2. Next, into each zipper bag place 1/4 cup of unprocessed oats and 2 Tablespoons of powdered oats, along with a pinch of salt.
3. Guess what? That’s it. Seriously, that’s all you need, now prepare it the same way you would prepare any instant oatmeal you purchased at the store.
4. To make different varieties, add brown sugar, honey, maple syrup, diced and dried fruit, whatever strikes your fancy!
