Heartwarming Oatmeal

Some days you just need an old favorite that reminds you of your childhood.  This one is simple and it is exactly what you need on days like that.

INGREDIENTS:

  • steel cut oats
  • almond milk
  • honey or maple syrup
  • fruit and/or nuts

INSTRUCTIONS:

1.     Prepare oats according to package directions, substituting half of the recommended water with almond milk.

2.     Drizzle in a bit of honey or maple syrup at the end of the cook time and top with a helping of fresh or dried fruit and nuts as desired.
